What is Schoology Cloud?

Schoology Cloud connects to your child's Schoology account, downloads their course materials (files, assignments, links), and uses AI to generate personalized study guides. It's a study tool designed to help your family — not a replacement for their teacher.

Is my child's Schoology password safe?

Yes. Your child's Schoology password is encrypted using industry-standard encryption before it's stored. We only use it to download course materials from Schoology. We never share it, and it's never visible in plain text — not even to us.

How often does it update from Schoology?

By default, Schoology Cloud checks for new materials once per day at the time shown on your Dashboard. You can also trigger a manual update at any time by clicking "Update Now" on your Dashboard.

What if an update fails ("Needs Attention")?

This usually means one of two things: your child's Schoology password has changed, or their school's website was temporarily unavailable. Go to Settings, check the Schoology login for the student, and try updating again. If it keeps failing, email us.

How accurate are the AI study guides?

Study guides are generated by AI based on your child's actual course materials. They go through an automated quality check to catch errors. That said, AI can make mistakes — we always recommend using guides alongside the teacher's materials, not as a replacement. If something looks wrong, you can regenerate the guide.

What's the difference between the guide types?

Comprehensive Study Guide — In-depth review of all concepts with examples and practice.
Flashcards — Quick review cards for memorizing key terms and concepts.
Practice Test — A full practice exam with answer key.
Practice Test (Teacher Style) — A practice test that mimics your teacher's actual test format based on past tests.
Mini Quiz — 5 quick questions to check understanding of one topic (2-3 minutes).
Error Hunt — Find-the-mistake exercises to build critical thinking.
Quick Summary — A brief overview of the key points.
Key Terms — Vocabulary and definitions for the unit.

Is there a limit on how many study guides I can create?

There may be a monthly limit depending on your plan. If you reach the limit, you'll see a message letting you know. Contact us if you need more.

Can I print a study guide?

Yes! On any study guide, click "Print View" to open a clean, printable version. You can also download as PDF or DOCX.

How do I add additional email recipients?

Go to Settings, click on your student's name, and add email addresses in the "Email Recipients" section. Each recipient will receive the daily update email.

How do I delete my account or my child's data?

Email us at support@schoologycloud.com and we'll remove all your data within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.
